WHAT IS A GOLDEN VISA?
The Golden Visa, or Real Estate Investment Residency, is a type of authorization that allows non-EU foreign nationals (those without Spanish nationality and who are not part of the European Union, the European Economic Area, or Switzerland) to reside and work in our country by demonstrating that they have made a significant capital investment.

WHAT IS THE REQUIRED INVESTOR PROFILE FOR OBTAINING A GOLDEN VISA?
The aim of the Golden Visa, which in Spain is contemplated in the Law 14/2013 in support of entrepreneurs and their internationalization, is to attract foreigners who want to buy housing or invest more than two million euros in public debt securities, shares of a company, or deposits in financial institutions of more than one million euros.
The Golden Visa can also be granted to highly qualified professionals and entrepreneurs whose activity can be considered of "general interest" because it generates jobs or other socio-economic benefits (local development, scientific and/or technological innovation, etc.).
The requirements to obtain the Golden Visa in Spain are fundamentally economic, although, as the legislation establishes, "all information provided to the file is valued, with no single element being decisive for its granting."
The minimum real estate investment to obtain this residency permit is 500,000 euros, plus taxes, which can be deposited in one or more properties, or in an undivided interest.

The authorization for residency by investment in Spain is requested at the Unit for Large Companies and Strategic Collectives (UGE-CE). The best alternative is to go to the Spanish Consulate in the applicant's place of residence. The granting corresponds to the Directorate General of Migration.
The deadline for its resolution is 20 days from the electronic submission of the application. If it is not resolved or denied within this period, it will be understood to be approved by administrative silence.
